Abstract

Introduction: Pregnancy-related acute kidney injury has a significant impact on maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality.

General Objective: Identify the factors associated with fetal, maternal, and renal outcomes in pregnant women who develop acute kidney injury or exacerbation of chronic kidney disease.

Materials and methods: Observational, descriptive, retrospective, cross-sectional study, cohort of pregnant women who have developed acute kidney injury or exacerbation of chronic kidney disease admitted to the Social Security Central Hospi- tal. Somatometric, demographic, and clinical data, days of hospitalization, and ob- stetric and biochemical data were collected at the beginning and end of pregnancy.

Results: 90 patients, 30 years old (SD ± 5.51), normal BMI, Central Department, university student, GFR, and proteinuria (p<0.05). EHE, GD, pyelonephritis, fetal death 16%, cesarean section 71%.

Conclusions: Fetal delivery is 16% in the studied population.
